CIA Exam Registration
Beginning in May 2008, certification testing will
be available on a year-round basis through the new computer-based

will have six months in which to sit for that exam part. Candidates may retest a minimum of 90 days after failing an
exam part.

The exams are currently available to be taken in Moscow. The content of the exam parts will not change with the switch to computer based testing.
A candidate may take the exams in any order and may take any number of exams at an exam time.
This registration process is in two different sections. The first section is for first time candidates and the second section is for candidates who have registered within the IIA in the past two years and therefore only need to reregister. Please read this information carefully and follow all of the instructions provided.
First Time Registrants
- Application Form - this can be downloaded in .pdf format here. In general it is easy to fill in, however here are some additional comments and instructions:
- If you are studying with HOCK (either live-taught or DLP) and are not certain that the correspondence from the IIA will arrive at your home or business address, you may use the HOCK address in Oxford. If you use this address, we will receive your mail and give it to you. You should indicate this as your business address and fill in your real home address (just be certain to select office as the place to receive your mail). The address is as follows:
Your name,
HOCK international
PO Box 204
Oxford, OH 45056
- The examination site: Code - 301, City - Moscow, Country - Russia.
- E-mail confirmation - check the box in order to receive confirmation for registration by e-mail as well as by mail.
- Total fee - check the registration fee box ($60 if you ARE the IIA member, $75 if you are NOT a member of the IIA) and the boxes for whichever exams you will take (if you are the IIA member, each exam costs $85 for you, for nonmembers each exam costs $110). If you are paying for exam registration with your credit card, you have to fill out the section on the right side of the page above the IIA logo. You should check "Charge to my ..." and fill out the section with the details with your credit card.
- If you are studying through HOCK and your company is paying for your registration, please leave this field blank and HOCK will fill it out with necessary details. If you are studying with HOCK would like HOCK to pay by credit card, leave this blank and bring the money to our office. There is a $10 charge for this to cover the exchange rate loss that results from the exchange rate that is used by the credit card.
- The box on the right side of the page can be filled out by using the 2 appropriate word documents (Job Codes and Industry).
- Experience Verification Form - This Form may be downloaded here and must be filled out by your supervisor, who must verify that you have 24 months of experience in internal auditor. If you do not have the necessary experience currently, this form can be provided to the IIA later when these criteria have been met. You may still take the exams, but you will not be given your license until you meet the experience requirement.
- Character Reference - This form may be downloaded here and must be completed by a CIA or your supervisor.
- Photocopy of Diploma - You must also include in the package a photocopy of your higher education diploma and its English translation. These documents do not have to be notarized or verified in any way, but the stamp on your diploma should be visible in the photocopy.
Registration with the IIA
If you have taken any parts of the CIA exams during the last two years and submitted all necessary documents to the IIA, you are considered a re-application candidate and have to fill out only an Exam Reapplication Form. It may be downloaded here.
Submission of Documents
Please prepare all necessary forms and if you would like us to submit them
to the IIA, return them to us . We will mail them to the IIA. If you will
mail it yourself, we recommend that you send it by courier.
